I’ve been a renter. I’ve owned and lived in my own home. I’ve moved interstate. I’ve navigated the uncertainty of trying to secure a rental from a distance, especially on the Sunshine Coast where demand often outweighs availability. I understand the hope that comes with each listing, and the frustration that can follow when things don’t go to plan.

I’ve also experienced both sides of the rental relationship. I’ve had property managers and landlords who were supportive and fair, and others who made the process unnecessarily difficult. Those experiences shaped how I think about renting and what renters deserve from the process.

Feels Like Home exists because I believe finding a place to live should feel more supported, more human and more grounded than it often does.

Experience that goes beyond theory

Alongside my own lived experience, I work closely with real estate agents and property managers through Herbig Design Co., maintaining and preparing rental properties and homes for sale across the Sunshine Coast.

This work gives me practical insight into how rental properties are managed, how applications are assessed, how property managers operate day to day, and what helps renters and buyers be seen clearly in the process.

That perspective matters. It allows me to understand what agents are looking for, how decisions are made, and where communication often breaks down. It also reinforces that respectful, clear collaboration leads to better outcomes for everyone involved.

Feels Like Home brings that understanding into the support I offer. The aim is not to work against the system, but to help people navigate it with clarity and confidence.
